At LiquorETC, we proudly present Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, a distinguished Cognac Fine Champagne that celebrates both heritage and craftsmanship. The name “Accord Royal” honors the royal decree granted by King Louis XV in 1738, allowing Rémy Martin to plant new vines in the Champagne region of Cognac—a privilege rarely given at the time. This historic approval marked the beginning of a legacy that continues to define the Maison’s reputation for excellence.

Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is crafted from a blend of eaux‑de‑vie sourced exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, the most prestigious vineyards in Cognac. Aged in toasted oak barrels, the spirit develops remarkable depth and smoothness, balancing fruit, spice, and wood. Bottled at 40% ABV, it pours a shimmering copper shade, reminiscent of the copper pot stills used in distillation.

On the nose, it reveals aromas of plum and fig jam, rounded out with oaky notes of toffee, brioche, and toasted bread. The palate is mellow yet complex, offering flavors of spiced butterscotch and hints of dark chocolate. The body is exceptionally rounded, with nutty undertones and a chalky aftertaste that adds sophistication. The finish is long, warm, and elegant, leaving behind impressions of fruit and oak.

Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is versatile in its enjoyment. Neat, it highlights its smooth, layered character, perfect for contemplative sipping. Served over ice, it softens into a more approachable style. It also shines in classic cocktails such as the Sidecar, where its richness balances citrus and orange liqueur. For food pairings, it complements roasted meats, aged cheeses, and chocolate desserts, making it a refined choice for both casual and celebratory occasions.
